Most windbreakers are cut for a body type that exists mainly in product photography. Too boxy to wear with anything structured, too short to sit right over a proper trouser, and with a hood that inflates like a life vest the moment any wind actually shows up. The category has a real fit problem and most brands ignore it completely. What we’ve been looking for are windbreakers that pack down small and handle the weather but are also cut with enough length and a shoulder seam that actually lands where it should. Not athletic. Not trying to be a technical shell. Just a well proportioned layer that works over a sweater or a shirt on the kind of day that can’t decide what it wants to be. These ones sit properly. They don’t billow. They look like you bought them on purpose rather than grabbed them from a discount rail before a camping trip you weren’t prepared for.
