The contrast collar is one of those details that separates a polo shirt from a plain one without making a big deal about it. Done badly it looks like an afterthought, or worse, like something from a corporate golf day. Done well it adds just enough visual interest to make a plain outfit feel considered. That balance is what we’ve been looking for here.

What we’ve been careful about is avoiding anything that tips into try-hard territory. No clashing color combinations that exist to get attention. No branding that competes with the collar for the eye. Just clean construction, good pique or jersey fabric, and a contrast that earns its place on the shirt rather than just justifying the price point.

These work best with chinos, shorts, or dark jeans depending on the occasion, and they sit in that useful space between too casual and too dressed up. A well chosen polo with a contrast collar does real work in a summer wardrobe.
