← Coats and Jackets Worth the InvestmentBrown Puffer Jackets Worth Adding to the Rotation
Brown is doing a lot of work in menswear right now and the puffer jacket is where that shows up most clearly. Black has been the default for too long. It reads fine but it reads safe, and there are better options for men who want outerwear that actually adds something to what they're wearing underneath. A brown puffer in the right shade, whether that's a warm tobacco, a muted camel, or something closer to chocolate, works with grey, navy, olive, and cream in ways black simply cannot. The problem with most puffers has always been proportion. Too boxy and you lose any shape. Too cropped and it looks borrowed from a different wardrobe entirely. We've been looking specifically at cuts that sit well at the hip, baffles that lay flat rather than puff out aggressively, and shell materials that don't sound like a crisp packet when you move. These are the brown puffers we'd actually wear.
