The check shirt is one of those pieces that most men own a version of and almost nobody wears well. Too often it ends up as an afterthought, thrown on over a t-shirt for a Saturday errand run and never asked to do anything more interesting than that. Which is a waste, because a well made check shirt in the right scale of pattern can anchor an outfit the same way a solid oxford cloth button down can.
