Corduroy Overshirts That Feel Properly Made

Corduroy overshirts occupy a very specific and useful space in a fall wardrobe, and most men either overlook them entirely or settle for ones that feel cheap the moment you pick them up. The fabric should have weight to it. The wale should be defined. The buttons should be horn or at least look like they belong on something that costs what it costs. When it all comes together, a corduroy overshirt does the job of a light jacket without looking like outerwear, which matters more than people give it credit for. Wear it open over a tee or closed over a thin merino and it reads as considered rather than casual. We've been particularly focused on construction here because corduroy has a way of exposing shortcuts fast. Puckered seams, collars that won't lie flat, chest pockets that gap. The ones we've pulled together avoid all of that. Properly made is not a small thing.
