Red is not the easy choice. Most men land on grey, navy, or black because those colors ask nothing of you, and that is exactly why a well chosen red hoodie hits differently when you see someone wearing one well. The color does the work. You just have to make sure the rest of the fit earns it. What we have been looking for specifically is reds that sit in the right register. Not so bright they read like sportswear, not so washed out they look like they survived too many cycles. A proper midtone red, in a quality cotton fleece with real weight to it, worn with dark denim or simple sweats, is one of the better looking casual outfits a man can put together without thinking too hard. The hoodies in here also have to get the details right. Hood structure, pocket depth, cuff quality. The ones that look sharp after a year of regular wear rather than sad. Those are the ones we came back to.
